14. Why is the project taking place? | The Cultural Peer-Leaning Concept (CPLC) is well suited for applying on the SDGs in formal and non-formal education. CPLC has been awarded by the UNDecade for Education for Sustainable Development and is presented as example for good practice “Transdisciplinary reference curriculum for the learning area of "global development" in the context of Education for Sustainable Development. |
15. Overall objective of the project | The overall objective of the action is to contribute to promoting development education on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by implementing new innovative learning concepts in formal and informal education in Europe. |
16. Specific objective(s) of the project | The specific objective is to integrate new innovative learning concepts in formal and informal global education in 7 EU countries (AT, BG, DK, DE, IT, PL, SI). |
17. What will have changed as a result of the project? (Summarise the intended outcome) | First of all the implementation of CPLC in 7 countries of the EU in education system. In addition, new online learning tools and Open Educational Resources on SDGs topics climate change (13), children rights (16), migration (10) and refugee issues are integrated and used in formal and informal education in all partner countries. Furthermore, awareness on SDGs topics is noticeable raised among 300.000 young people, teachers, politicians, media and general public in 7 EU countries. Youth are engaged as change agents for SDGs on local, regional and global level. |

23. Main achievement of the project to-date | After the project start on the 1st of February in 2019 we hosted successfully three conferences and meetings in three countries. Multiple workshops, discussions and performances have taken place in all partner countries with four associates of the Global South. Activities took place at schools and education centres. Due to Corona, it is impossible to organize personal workshops and performances at schools and education centres. Therefore, we are currently developing with our partner network online peer activities involving creative methods. Students and young people shall get engaged. |
