13. Project background: Why is the project taking place? Why is the need form the project?Consumer behaviour in the Global North is causing rising economic, ecological and social burdens in the Global South, endangering the MDGs. People in the North must recognize how injustice in a globalised world and their own lifestyles affect developing countries and what they can do about it. An impact on these burdens in the Global South by fostering changes in behaviour in the Global North, with a focus on schools as "agents for change" in the general education system, is needed.
